Practice: Dreaming with Bees
When we choose to step into the world of bees we are choosing to step into a non-linear language of beingness. Experiences with honey bees can be straightforward and direct, and the can be circuitous and liminal. While a world of intellectual information about honey bees is at our finger tips, one of our most important resources lies in the liminal landscape of intentional dreaming.
Homework:
- Download and listen to the Knowledge Lecture.
- Download the Dreaming Tree meditation
- Listen to the meditation before bed at least one night a week.
- Set the intention to dream WITH the bees, inviting their wisdom into your dreams.
- Record your dreams, impressions, emotions or any thing you "feel" or recall upon waking. During these first three weeks, you are simply in the practice of dream.
- On Feb 8th, we will share some dream themes from the month with our cell and if you desire, on Facebook.
Dreamwork is an art that times time, dedication and practice. To dream with bees is not to dream about them. It is to step into a shared Dreamweave experience with the spirit of the bees and the sisterhood of the hive.
Notes on the Knowledge Lecture:
A Knowledge Lecture is always listened to in the dark, meaning with eyes closed. Words passed down through aural teaching in this way are meant to land like drops of nectar on the skin, and absorb into our wombic center of knowing to be circulated therein. A knowledge lecture is not transcribed through careful note taking, but rather recapitulated through journaling afterwards, should you so choose.
In honor of the old ways, my teachers, and this lineage please DO NOT transcribe this knowledge lecture.
